      Basic steps of manual transmission assembly disassembly

      The disassembly method of manual transmission assembly is different from that of ordinary gear transmission, so the correct method and procedure must be followed to avoid the damage of parts. For the disassembly of manual transmission assembly, the disassembly method of different vehicle models is different. Generally, the vehicle ignition switch is turned off, the battery ground wire is removed, and the hydraulic oil in the automatic transmission is drained, and then the disassembly is carried out according to the following steps.

      1. Remove the throttle cable of automatic transmission connected with throttle rocker arm, pull out all harness plugs on automatic transmission, and remove all parts connected with manual transmission, such as speedometer flexible shaft, hydraulic oil filling pipe, radiator oil pipe, connecting rod between operating handle and manual valve rocker arm, etc;

      2. Remove the middle section of the exhaust pipe, and remove the shield and shield under the automatic transmission;

      3. Loosen the connecting bolt between the transmission shaft and the automatic transmission output shaft, and remove the transmission shaft;

      4. Remove the cover plate of flywheel housing, pry the flywheel with a driver, and remove the connecting bolts between flywheel and torque converter one by one;

      5. Remove the starter;

      6. Remove the connecting bracket between manual transmission and frame, and support automatic transmission with Jack;

      7. Remove the connecting bolts between manual transmission and flywheel housing, and lift the torque converter and automatic transmission together. When lifting the automatic transmission, hold the torque converter to prevent slipping.

      When removing the front drive automatic transmission, the relevant parts above the transmission, such as battery, air filter, intake manifold, etc., should be removed first, and the left and right front wheel half shafts should also be removed.
